Job Function: 01. PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO PHYSICIANS AND NURSES DURING PROCEDURES AS REQUESTED: Assists with all types of procedures utilizing equipment, scope accessories, and therapeutic interventions. Assists with obtaining and performing biopsy specimens and polyps as directed by the physician. Able to maintain sterile field and adhere to surgical standards. Maintains and assists with appropriate rail positions, positioning and airway care. Recognizes and reports changes in patient status to RN or charge nurse. Age Specific Competencies care of pediatric patient vs. adult.

CLEANS AND PROVIDES HIGH LEVEL DISINFECTION OF EQUIPMENT, SCOPES, AND SCOPE ACCESSORIES: Able to operate and maintain Endoscopic washers in accordance with infection control standards, scope manufacturers, and disinfectant guidelines. Documents consistently in scope diary, all the necessary data required to track and...
