About This Job
The overall function of this position is to assist the Project Engineer in the everyday activities of managing a District Construction Unit, such as directing and supervising highway and bridge construction, survey activities, contract administration, quality assurance, material management, and associated functions of a construction gang.
This position is located in District 61 Unit 206, Ascension Parish of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to Engineer 6, Project Engineer.
The incumbent must be self‑motivated, able to perform duties with minimal supervision, and able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they arise. The incumbent will participate in DOTD structured training programs, attend continuing education class...
