Our client in the Insurance Industry is looking to hire an Engineering Underwriter.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities
Profit and Growth
- Ensure that the Company is not over committed on individual risks
- Review monthly targets monthly
- Ensure that the Company reinsurance standards are always adhered to
- Report to the market facing underwriter on large variances and large claims
Effective Management of Engineering Portfolio
- Timeously assist with the resolution of problems
- Review figures of various portfolios
- Collaboration with company commercial business streams
Technical Support
- Assist with technical support and negotiations of small or uncomplicated accounts
- Analyse client information to determine marketing needs
- Provide input to Brokers regarding claims to ensure timeous resolution
