Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Staff Nurse (SN) in delivering nursing care to the clients and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Care Delivery- Provide quality nursing care with compliance to approved standards of nursing practices.
- Assist SN in new admission assessment and orientation.
- Carry out nursing rounds with the SN.
- Assist SN in ensuring client take their medicines.
- Initiate activities as first responder at emergency situations; alerts and supports the SN.
- Organize and send residents for appropriate therapy as prescribed.
- Coordinate clients’ medical check-ups & arrange transport.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care given.
Supervise junior care staff to:
- Ensure comfort and good personal hygiene of the residents under his/her care.
- Check, monitor and record residents’ vital signs.
