Copcan Civil is seeking an experienced Vac Truck Operator / Equipment Operator to join our team in the East and West Kootenay region of British Columbia. The role involves operating hydrovac/vacuum trucks to support underground utility, civil, and construction projects across locations including Rossland, Trail, Castlegar, Cranbrook, and surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vacuum truck (hydrovac) to perform daylighting, trenching, debris removal, and excavation support
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational
- Operate high-pressure water and vacuum systems safely and efficiently
- Expose underground utilities while minimizing risk of damage
- Follow all site-specific safety requirements, company policies, and WorkSafeBC regulations
