Job Description
A leading global hedge fund is seeking an experienced fundamental equity long/short portfolio manager to run a classic fundamental equity long/short mandate across APAC markets.
Responsibilities:
- Build and actively manage a concentrated, high-Sharpe equity long/short book.
- Generate consistent alpha on both the long and short side through bottom-up fundamental research, variant perception, and catalyst-driven ideas.
- Run a sector, regional, market-cap, or generalist mandate.
- Take meaningful single-name and situational risk where asymmetry is clear.
- Present positioning, performance, and new ideas regularly to senior management and risk.
- Collaborate with central research, quant, data-science, and execution teams while retaining complete discretion on the book.
- Mentor junior analysts.
