The Estimator is a crucial part of our preconstruction team, responsible for preparing precise, comprehensive, and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including earthwork, utilities, and site development. This full-time role, based in Eastern North Carolina, involves occasional travel for site walks and pre-bid meetings.
Responsibilities
+ Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, addenda, and bid documents to accurately define project scope and perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, utilities, and concrete elements.
+ Develop complete cost estimates, incorporating labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, trucking/hauling, bonds/insurance, permits, and general conditions.
+ Utilize historical cost data, production rates, and current market pricing to ensure competitive bids.
