RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive, Claims, will support the handling of local claims and Unclaimed & Abandoned Cargo (UAC) matters, ensuring cases are managed accurately and in compliance with statutory, customer, and principal requirements. Reporting to the Documentation Manager, the role involves timely follow-up, accurate system updates, and proper coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure proper and timely handling of claims and recoveries by coordinating with terminals, cargo interests, surveyors, experts and internal stakeholders.
- Perform regular follow-up with claimants and/or liable parties to ensure each claim is closed in a timely manner.
- Manage UAC matters to ensure each claim is disposed promptly to minimize loss.
- Implement risk improvement measures where applicable.
- Ensure claims system, Themis, is timely and accurately updated.
