Job Description
We are looking for a graduate in B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical or relevant discipline) with 8 to 12 years of experience in Direct Purchase functions include (Raw Material, Pipes, Flanges & Fittings) within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Identify new sources for raw material in order to reduce cost.
- Develop new / alternative sources for critical items / indeginization.
- Price negotiation with vendors
- Familiar with material specification
- Explore avenues for material cost reduction.
- Negotiation skills
2. Inventory Management
- Periodically review safety stocks.
- Periodically review slow moving material in the inventory and take efforts to liquidate non moving inventory.
3. Order Management
- Releasing of purchase orders for specified items.
- Conversion of PR to PO
- ISO documentation
- Capital goods purchase orders coordination.
