Laboratory and Field Technician – Materials Engineering Team, Atlantic Canada. The role involves conducting laboratory and field tests, analyzing materials used in construction, and supporting cross‑functional engineering projects. The technician will contribute to projects that influence industry standards and introduce new materials.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and maintaining schedules.
- Perform field and laboratory tests on soil, concrete, and hot mix asphalt to assess material properties, composition, and behavior.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment and instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and housekeeping requirements in a safe work environment.
