Description

The Transylvania Campus's Facilities and Grounds Technician is responsible for performing facilities maintenance duties and maintaining grounds and outdoor areas.


Examples of Duties

  • Maintains appearances of building interior by daily cleaning e.g. cleaning bathrooms, dusting, washing white boards, emptying trash containers, vacuuming, mopping.
  • Shampoos carpet and waxes floors as needed.
  • Removes and replaces light bulbs, ceiling tiles, white boards as needed.
  • Assists faculty and staff in setting up classrooms and equipment for various functions.
  • Works with county maintenance in performing maintenance and repairs on electrical, air conditioning, heating, carpentry, and plumbing.
  • Performs general equipment maintenance.
  • Maintains the grounds/gardens in good condition, both horticulturally and aesthetically.
