Position Summary BCIT’s School of Transportation is seeking a full‑time (1.0 FTE) Faculty, Marine Engineering to instruct ship construction, naval architecture, drafting, engineering knowledge, electrotechnology/high voltage, automation and control, applied engineering sciences, and workshop courses. The ideal candidate will bring industry experience into the classroom, develop curriculum, address operational and educational issues, and cultivate positive student relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
Classroom instruction to cadets, entry‑level, upgrader, PTS or Industry Services students.
Workshop and laboratory instruction and supervision.
Instructional counseling, evaluation and preparation.
Administrative responsibilities including assignments, examination marking and student evaluation.
