Family Law clerk or paralegal - mississauga

Wowk Law is looking for an experienced law clerk or paralegal with significant experience in the family law field.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients, including preparation of financial statements.
• Deal with all aspects of identifying, securing, and organizing disclosure.
• Maintain files, track work, and follow up with tasks on files.
• Prepare first drafts of documents.
• Complete uncontested divorces independently.
• Make required entries into the bookkeeping system (Cosmolex), billing files, and follow up on accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience working with a family lawyer.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to show initiative and work independently.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness, interest, and ability to learn current skills.
• Good social and interpersonal skills.
