Job Description

Position Overview

A Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) community specialist will provide services to individuals and families affected by FASD, supporting assessment, diagnosis, and implementing diagnostic recommendations. The specialist reports to the program manager.

Scheduling

One (1) permanent part‑time position, working 26 hours biweekly.

Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits and phone consultations with FASD clients & families in the Slave Lake & Wabasca region.
  • Help individuals understand the diagnostic process, connect with diagnostic clinics and accompany individuals to appointments.
  • Assist affected individuals (and family members, caregivers, educators, service providers, counselors, etc.) in developing positive daily living strategies.
