Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of produce.
- Run a section with the assistance of Commis Chef.
- Assist in the management of a section with the assistance of Commis Chefs.
- Prepare and cook food to restaurant‑specific standards.
- Develop and supervise Commis Chef on section.
- Implement waste controls and maintain section stock control and rotation.
- Complete the cleaning schedule for the kitchen.
- Understand functional administration of the restaurant (docket procedures, stations, table numbers, food labelling, etc.).
- Have detailed knowledge of the full menu.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Comply with legal requirements under the H&S Act 1974 and food hygiene.
