Fellowship in Medical Retina (Ophthalmology)

Applications are invited for a fixed term 12 month fellow post in Medical Retina. This is a full-time post providing post‑CCT level training for ophthalmologists who wish to specialise in Medical Retina.
Start date will be 1st August 2026 or as soon after as possible.
Main duties of the job
This post is based at St Pauls Eye Unit at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital (RLUH), which is part of the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT).
The post is clinical with two sessions per week available for study, research and audit. There will be opportunities to contribute to clinical research in Medical Retina and Uveitis and join as a sub-investigator in a number of on‑going clinical trials in age‑related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, uveitis and inherited retinal diseases.
