Job Summary
The Fiber Technician I is responsible for supporting the installation, termination, testing, and documentation of fiber and copper cabling systems within large-scale commercial and data center environments. This role involves traveling to active job sites to assist with building out telecommunications infrastructure, including rack and closet buildouts, structured cabling installation, and fiber optic termination. The technician performs fiber and copper terminations, OTDR and Fluke testing, and basic troubleshooting to ensure network systems meet TIA/EIA performance standards. This position is hands-on and requires working on ladders, in ceilings, and across large construction environments while supporting new construction data center deployments and high-capacity colocation facilities.
