Job Description
**_POSITION SUMMARY:_**
The Fiberglass Mold Building Technician works in an elite climate controlled R&D facility that specializes in pattern and mold building. This position is responsible for artistically and accurately creating patterns for fiberglass and plastic parts, boat hulls, boat decks, seat shells, liners and other parts relating to the development of recreational product. In addition to making and modify prototypes for design development and validation.
**_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:_**
+ Uses proven and new methods to make high quality patterns, plugs, molds, jigs and fixtures.
+ Makes changes to existing molds and parts to update and improve as instructed by management.
+ Uses precise measuring equipment such as laser aligners, levels, dividers, calipers, squares, graduated cylinders and gram scales.
+ Assists other functions as assigned: engineering, production, warranty, mold fabrication and boat test.
