The seeks to develop a pool of candidates for nontenure field supervisor positions for the Fall and Spring semesters.Field Supervisors mentor and evaluate clinical teaching, residency, and internship candidates through orientations, seminars or coaching sessions, formal and informal observations, and ongoing feedback. They are responsible for meeting required timelines, documenting progress in the university’s online system, and collaborating with school partners to complete evaluations and monitor candidate growth. Supervisors also gather mentor input, recommend candidates for certification, and serve as liaisons between the school site and Texas State University’s Office of Educator Preparation.
Field Supervisors must fulfill all supervisory responsibilities for their clinical teaching, residency, or internship candidates as required by the Texas Education Agency and the university. Additional duties may apply for residency sup...
