Summary This position is located in Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Park, in the Facilities Operations Division. These positions are being filled under the Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL). See below under Additional Information for further eligibility guidance. Responsibilities Carpentry and wood repair, including repairing historic windows, doors, trim, siding, and structural elements using in-kind materials and reversible methods. Surface conservation work, including paint removal, coatings, finishes, and protective treatments appropriate to historic treatment. Specialized restoration tasks, including window glazing, sash repair, plaster, repair, and hardware restoration. Masonry and mortar work, including repointing historic brick/stone with compatible mortar, repairing masonry failures. Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship required.
