Role Overview
Financial Control Lead – New Zealand (Fixed‑term, 12‑month parental leave)
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Finance professionals within a centralised finance function.
- Provide coordinated delivery of local technical accounting research and positions with wider Finance teams.
- Review month‑end financial results, analysing provisions, key balance‑sheet accounts and P&L performance.
- Deliver financial and board reporting and support external audit engagements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and manage legislative changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis, implementing strong future‑fit financial controls within a new ERP system.
- Build positive partnering relationships internally and cross‑functionally, identifying and implementing long‑term strategic objectives and promoting innovation.
