Summary Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information. Responsibilities Serves as the primary technical advisor to the Deputy Director for day-to-day, localized operations. Reviews incoming time-sensitive taskings, data requests, and internal projects, personally handling or delegating actions based on quantitative accuracy and operational impact. Utilizes modern quantitative and analytical techniques to monitor financial management indicators and assess the daily operational health and audit readiness of the organization. Analyzes complex financial data to identify internal trends, process bottlenecks, and actionable areas for process optimization.
