Job Description
The role is to provide high-quality, objective analysis and advice on matters related to the Financial Sector Code (FS Code) and its implementation. The Technical Specialist is responsible for leading internal stakeholders and industry participants on technical policy issues, including the periodic review of the FS Code, drafting policy position papers, guidance notes, and responses to public consultations. The role also involves delivering training on the FS Code and conducting broader policy research and advisory work.
In addition, the Technical Specialist is expected to build and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders, including members of relevant reporting committees and sub-committees, regulatory bodies, industry practitioners, verification agencies, and other B-BBEE professionals. The role also supports executive leadership in driving policy advocacy and strategic initiative.
