Responsibilities
- Supervise the performance and operational condition of fire protection systems (automatic sprinklers, fire pumps, detection and alarm systems, deluge systems, etc.) in compliance with NFPA standards and Argentine regulations.
- Participate in “Fire Protection Adequacy” projects as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical guidance.
- Review engineering drawings for new installations or plant modifications to ensure alignment with GM standards.
- Conduct risk assessments for critical activities such as hot work, confined spaces, work at heights, and chemical storage areas.
- Manage hot work permits and audit contractor documentation compliance on site.
- Maintain communication with external emergency response services when required.
- Serve as Leader of the Immediate Emergency Response Team when needed.
