- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register with accurate asset details (cost, location, category, depreciation, and useful life).
- Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and write-offs in the accounting system.
- Ensure asset capitalization complies with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform monthly depreciation and complete closing in the system.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed asset transactions.
- Ensure depreciation schedules are accurate and properly maintained.
- Ensure proper asset tagging and tracking for effective control.
- Perform monthly reconciliation between the fixed asset subledger and the general ledger, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
