Floor Technician
The primary purpose of the Floor Technician position is to perform assigned floor care functions based on the facility’s standards and procedures as directed by your supervisor and the Housekeeping department.
Job Description:
+ Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
+ Coordinate daily floor cleaning services with nursing and performing routine cleaning assignment.
+ Clean up spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed.
+ Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use.
+ Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and burnishing, disinfecting in order to maintain a high gloss finish on all hard floors.
+ Clean vacant rooms and general areas as assigned.
+ Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
