STATUS: Salary Exempt Job Summary: Seeking a Forging Engineer with basic knowledge of wrought, formed, and forged steel, cobalt, and nickel alloys. This includes understanding the effects of manufacturing processing and heat treatment on properties. Essential duties & responsibilities The essential functions of the job include the following: Review and execute approval of special manufacturing processes that have metallurgical requirements Material related non-conformance assessments and dispositions Root cause analysis Gas turbine material selection: Stainless steel, low carbon steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys for components throughout the gas turbine.
