Freelance Quantity Surveyor

Hays are currently working with a well‑established subcontractor delivering technical construction packages. They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team on an initial 3‑month freelance contract, with a strong opportunity to move into a permanent position should this suit your longer‑term career plans.This role is office based near Thetford, with hybrid working available once you are fully up to speed and would suit a QS with proven experience operating within a specialist subcontractor environment.
Your New Role
You will play a key role in supporting themercial delivery of live projects, managing specialist packages from amercial perspective. Duties will include:

Preparation, submission and agreement of valuations

Management of variations and change control

Cost reporting, forecasting and final accounts

Liaising closely with project teams, main contractors and external stakeholders
