Frontend Engineer (React + TypeScript) — Freelance | Hybrid Porto or Lisbon | EV Tech
We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a fast-growing EV charging scale-up building user-facing platforms that power thousands of chargers across Europe. You'll own complex web apps that drive core business workflows: authentication, payments, charger management.
This is a freelance role through Shakers , the platform connecting top tech freelancers with high-impact projects across Europe. We handle contracting, payments and admin so you focus on shipping.
What you'll do
- Build and scale sophisticated React 18+ apps in TypeScript
- Own end-to-end user journeys (auth, payments, charger flows)
- Influence frontend architecture decisions: state, routing, performance, observability
- Integrate with microservices via gRPC/REST
