Role Overview
The Medical Insurance & Authorization Specialist is responsible for supporting patient care operations through insurance verification, benefits eligibility updates, medical records management, preauthorization processing, and denied claims resolution. This role works closely with providers, patients, billing teams, and insurance carriers to ensure accurate coverage information, timely authorizations, and seamless patient appointment preparation. The ideal candidate has strong experience with insurance verification (VOB), preauthorizations, and is highly proficient in the Valant EHR system.
