We are currently seeking an experienced, trauma‑informed tutor to support a Year 12 learner with Functional Skills Maths and English, delivered through a mentoring‑led, relationship‑first approach.

This role is ideal for a tutor who understands that emotional safety comes before academics and is confident adapting sessions responsively to support a young person with complex SEMH needs.


M has ASD and PTSD, and it is essential that the tutor is able to:

  • Recognise potential emotional triggers

  • Respond calmly and flexibly when dysregulation occurs

  • Adapt sessions in the moment

    • M is currently completing online Functional Skills Maths and English courses. Alongside the online courses, she requires additional support to help her engage and progress, including:

  • Essay writing and structuring written responses

  • Practising exam questions

  • Building confidence in applying knowledge
