Job Overview
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newport to assist with the appointment of a Gardener on a 3.5‑month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
The Gardener is responsible for all aspects of practical amenity horticulture and grounds maintenance to the highest standards, ensuring parks, open spaces, sports facilities and landscaped areas are maintained in accordance with service specifications and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, leaf clearance and litter picking duties
- Planting and maintenance of bedding plants, trees, shrubs and landscaped areas
- Shrub bed maintenance including pruning, division and general upkeep
- Apply chemicals and treatments in accordance with relevant legislation and safe working practices
