Insight Global is seeking a Gas Engineer to support a major regulated utility client in the NYC area. This role sits within the Central Engineering division on the Gas Operations team and is primarily focused on LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) plant engineering at the Astoria LNG facility, a critical utility asset that is maintained and operated year round to support system reliability.
This is not a street gas or distribution role. The Engineer will support an operating LNG plant, providing hands on engineering support for mechanical, piping, and electrical systems, and serving as the technical bridge between plant operations and engineering teams.
Under direct supervision, the Engineer supports projects of basic to moderate complexity from design through construction and commissioning, while also supporting equipment performance, reliability, and operational readiness. The role involves a mix of office and field work, including reg...
