Job Description
The General Accountant is responsible for performing and maintaining accurate financial records of the company. This role handles day-to-day accounting operations, prepares reports and reconciliations, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. The General Accountant supports management through timely and reliable financial information for decision-making.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Record and post daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Prepare journal vouchers, adjusting entries, and schedules as required.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet accounts.
