Job Description
Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will safely operate machinery in order to sort, grade and purchase metals. Full training will be provided for the successful applicants.
Responsibilities
- Load & unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers.
- Operator equipment, including forklift and/or excavator (where licensed).
- Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
- Grading and sorting metals.
- Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail – this role involves working with metal and requires the ability to identify and separate different materials.
- A can‑do attitude; you will be open to undertaking training to diversify your skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, numeracy skills, and basic computer literacy.
