A General Manager of a Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center (frequently titled Executive Director or Nursing Home Administrator) holds executive authority over both long-term residential living and short-term post-acute rehabilitative care. This leader integrates healthcare governance and corporate management to oversee cross-functional medical, therapeutic, and business operations.
1. Rehabilitation & Clinical Strategy
- Therapy-to-Home Transitions: Partner with therapy directors to build efficient short-term sub-acute rehab tracks that safely transition patients back to independent living.
- Interdisciplinary Leadership: Direct integration between physical, occupational, speech therapy, and clinical nursing teams.
- Quality Outcome Tracking: Monitor rehabilitation KPIs such as average length of stay, functional gain metrics, and unplanned hospital readmission rates.
