About the role
This is a permanent full time (1.0FTE, 80 hours a fortnight) and 1:6 on-call. The role involves managing a broad range of general medical conditions, contributing to the acute take and inpatient ward rounds, and working collaboratively with nursing staff, allied health, and visiting subspecialists. This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive general medicine in a regional hospital setting, serving a close-knit community within the Marlborough region.
Responsibilities
- Be passionate about general medicine and make a contribution to a high functioning team.
- Participate in the general medicine acute roster with 4 hours average call-back a week.
- Teach and develop our junior medical workforce.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of care across the health continuum working with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
