Job Summary
Geodetic or Land Surveyors measure, map, assess, and collect information about specific parcels of land. They interpret survey data to support land development, construction projects, and infrastructure repair. The role involves working on sites scheduled for development or on existing areas where infrastructure improvements or repairs are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys using specialized equipment and technology such as robotic survey instruments and 3D scanners.
- Analyze survey data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
- Prepare survey drawings and technical documentation.
- Present survey data and findings to clients and prepare detailed reports.
