We are seeking an experienced Geriatrician to play a pivotal role in our healthcare community, working alongside a diverse general medical team and the Te Ara Tiaki Pakeke (Healthy Aging Team).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-hospital consultative services for both surgical and medical services, including orthopedic patients and complex geriatric cases requiring capacity and pre-operative frailty assessments. Oversee a dedicated rehabilitation team managing an 8-bed unit, ensuring high standards of care and rehabilitation outcomes. Serve as the Lead Clinician for the Te Ara Tiaki Pakeke (Healthy Aging Team), driving initiatives and strategies that promote healthy aging within the community.
