Job Summary
St. Jude School, a Catholic elementary school in Vancouver, seeks a full‑time Grade 1 teacher for the 2026‑27 school year. The position is a short‑term contract for teachers new to the CISVA and a continuing contract for those already on contract.
Responsibilities
- Model Catholic faith and provide testimony on the Gospel of Jesus.
- Collaborate with the school community, including teachers, staff, and families.
- Plan and deliver project‑based and inquiry‑based instruction that aligns with core and curricular competencies.
- Adapt instructional methods to support diverse learning styles, applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
- Implement early literacy intervention best practices and administer literacy assessments such as Dibels, JJ Basic Reading Inventory, and Alberta Diagnostic.
