Job Overview
The Greenkeeper is responsible for maintaining and preparing ground and playing surfaces to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Ground and Lawn Maintenance:
Replanting, repairing, aerating, fertilizing, and topdressing lawns.
Preparing various playing surfaces, including tees, fairways, roughs, and greens.
Undertaking common methods of repair and renovation.
Preparing ground and establishing plants.
Equipment and Tool Handling:
Using and maintaining non-powered tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Preparing and operating tractors, mowers, rollers, and other machinery.
Performing a range of mowing tasks, scarifying, Vert cutting turf, and aerating turf.
Applying top dressing and fertilizers.
Repair and Maintenance:
Repairing divots and identifying and controlling weeds, pests, turf diseases, and disorders.
Ensuring all assigned equipment and tools are fueled, cleaned, and well-maintained.
