We’re recruiting an experienced Groundworker / Machine Driver to join a respected civils contractor delivering ongoing works across electricity substation sites in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire areas. This is a Temp to Perm PAYE role working on a long-term framework programme, offering stability, consistent hours, and genuine progression opportunities for the right person.

Your new role

  • Groundworks associated with substation construction and upgrades
  • Drainage installation – including deep and shallow drainage
  • Concrete works – bases, plinths, and formwork
  • Ducting installation for HV infrastructure
  • Operating plant and machinery safely (360 excavator, dumper, or roller depending on tickets)
  • Working to strict health & safety protocols on high-voltage sites
  • Supporting the site teams to ensure deadlines are met to a high standard
