Job Description
A Head Nurse in a senior nursing home is responsible for overseeing the daily nursing operations and ensuring high-quality care for elderly residents. They supervise and support nursing staff, coordinate patient care plans, administer medications when necessary, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. The Head Nurse works closely with doctors, caregivers, residents, and families to monitor residents’ health conditions and address medical or emotional needs promptly. Additional duties include staff scheduling, training, maintaining medical records, and promoting a safe, compassionate, and comfortable environment for all residents. Strong leadership, clinical expertise, communication skills, and compassion for elderly care are essential for this role.
