Head of Airfreight
The Head of Airfreight is responsible for managing and optimizing Airfreight operations to ensure efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant transportation of goods by air. This role involves overseeing the entire process from booking to delivery, managing relationships with carriers, and ensuring high service standards. The Head of Airfreight plays a key role in achieving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Activities / Accountabilities
- Operational Management: oversee daily Airfreight operations, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and manage shipping schedules, routes, and cargo handling processes.
- Carrier Relations: develop and maintain strong relationships with air carriers, negotiate contracts and rates, evaluate performance, and address issues to ensure high service levels.
