Job Summary – Unit Head, Biomedical Engineering
- Plans, executes and maintains an effective biomedical equipment management program for biomedical equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendation.
- Participates in the technical evaluation for purchase of new/replacement equipment.
- Plans and coordinates contracted maintenance services undertaken by external vendors.
- Supervises, inspects and commission new project installation.
- Recommends equipment modification and/or fabrication of parts, if necessary.
- Provides technical advice and services pertaining to biomedical equipment.
- Updates and maintains an inventory list of biomedical equipment annually.
- Maintains effective systems and records required for effective departmental function.
- Sources and purchase spare parts for internal preventive maintenance services and repairs.
