Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on radiotherapy techniques, service developments and optimisation.
  • Manage a team of scientists and technicians delivering the Radiotherapy Physics service to the Trust.
  • Oversee the coordination of the research programme in Radiotherapy Physics and initiate research & development in that speciality.
  • Supervise training of clinical scientists and technologists, and provide training for other staff groups as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and the multidisciplinary team to shape the strategic direction for radiotherapy and deliver a high quality, patient‑centred service.

Qualifications

  • Highly experienced radiotherapy physicist with HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
  • RPA2000 registration as an MPE.
  • Extensive experience managing diverse staff groups.
  • Significant project management experience within radiotherapy.
