Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on radiotherapy techniques, service developments and optimisation.
- Manage a team of scientists and technicians delivering the Radiotherapy Physics service to the Trust.
- Oversee the coordination of the research programme in Radiotherapy Physics and initiate research & development in that speciality.
- Supervise training of clinical scientists and technologists, and provide training for other staff groups as appropriate.
- Collaborate with clinicians and the multidisciplinary team to shape the strategic direction for radiotherapy and deliver a high quality, patient‑centred service.
Qualifications
- Highly experienced radiotherapy physicist with HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
- RPA2000 registration as an MPE.
- Extensive experience managing diverse staff groups.
- Significant project management experience within radiotherapy.
