Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of company-wide safety programs such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fire protection, and other OSHA safety compliance programs.
- Advises the workplace regarding safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of all employees as well as regulatory compliance as mandated by local and government agencies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Loss Control Management (LCM) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Performs hazard analyses and recommends mitigation procedures to the company.
- Participates in the development and implementation of department safety work order tracking and reporting.
- Conducts routine and follow-up environmental health, safety and hazard inspections of the company.
