The Advanced Health Science program offers high school juniors and seniors numerous opportunities to prepare for various healthcare careers, including nurse-practitioner, midwife, speech-language pathologist, dentist, and veterinarian. Housed at the Blue Springs Freshman Center, soon to be the Blue Springs Career & Innovation Center, this program provides a comprehensive introduction to the medical field, including human anatomy, CPR certification, and phlebotomy training.
In Advanced Health Science I, juniors receive foundational training, while seniors in Advanced Health Science II complete clinical rotations at several local medical facilities, gaining exposure to geriatrics, pediatrics, and physical therapy.
