- Perform administrative duties prior to the optometrists' evaluation of patients.
- Review chart and prepare documents in advance of scheduled appointment to verify appointment necessity, determine required diagnostic testing, coordinate efficient patient flow, and optimize clinic and provider efficiency.
- Perform ocular screening, including ocular triage for acute walk-in appointments, to assist provider with the eye examination.
- Fit and order military eyewear, and ensure spectacle quality control by tracking turnaround time and inspecting accuracy in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/ Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
