Healthcare Assistant - maternity Leave cover
Angel Hill Surgery is looking for a healthcare assistant (HCA) to join the practice in this vital patient-facing role with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The role is offered on a part‑time, fixed term contract basis until 30th April 2027.
Main duties of the job
- Carry out base-line observations such as pulse, oximetry, temperature, blood pressure and blood glucose levels, recording findings accurately.
- Wound care, venepuncture, phlebotomy checks and administering of medicines and vaccines.
- Ensure that all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session.
- Ensure that medical supplies are in stock.
- Act as a chaperone where required.
- Assist GP during the performance of minor operations.
- Communicate with patients, relatives, and carers including providing valuable health promotion and education.
